#308 Key Takeaways from the Expand Your Audience Event
I’m on a high this week, m’dear!
Why? Because last week I hosted our Expand Your Audience – Grow Your Sales event, and it was a huge hit!
I can’t wait to start hosting in-person events again next year, because this just reminded me how much I love curating events for jewelry designers and hanging out with the community.
Most of the speakers at last week’s event were students or graduates from our Momentum coaching program.
I invited them because I firmly believe that one of the fastest ways to grow your business is to mirror – not copy! – successful people who are already doing what you want to be doing.
So I thought it would be fun to recap some of the key takeaways from the event, just in case you missed it!

Grow Your Audience Daily
I counted at least 24 strategies for growing your audience mentioned at last week’s event.
These strategies should be a major part of your day-to-day responsibilities in your business. If you do it right, you’ll grow fast.
Here are just a few to get you started:
- Short-Term: Do a direct mail campaign or a grassroots messaging campaign to bring in new sales quickly.
- Mid-Term: Consistent weekly messaging to your email list and social media following.
- Long-Term: Ranking your website as the go-to jewelry in your local area and reaching out to wholesale clients.
These are just a few of the MANY things you can do to help you expand your audience.
Learn From Those Who Have Been in Your Shoes
Fast growth happens when you stand on the shoulders of giants
Throughout the event, we interviewed about 8-10 jewelry brands inside and outside of our community and they all shared a very similar story…
At a certain point, they needed guidance and support. So they found a mentor, coach or community that could teach them exactly what they were trying to accomplish.
WHY? Because it takes a fraction of time as opposed to trying to figure it out alone.
Be Authentic and Build Your Tribe
On our first success panel, the one thing everyone talked about was the importance of being your authentic self.
In fact, the entire event was structured around helping you be authentically you to create that connection with your audience.
Because people want to buy from you when they feel connected to you and your brand. It’s plain and simple.
So don’t be afraid to let your personality shine through.
I’ve only talked about three of my seven key takeaways from the event so far. Listen to the full episode above for more!
