Designer Spotlight: Elvira Ward

A brief story of what you do and why you do it.
I have been making wire wrapped jewelry for about 4 years now. Wire wrapping is my outlet.. It takes my mind off things and relaxes me when I am upset or stressed. It is like my therapy.
How did you get into jewelry design?
Through my mother in law. She is makes jewelry also. Watching her make one of her pieces always fascinated me so I decided to try and I haven't stopped since.
What makes your collection unique?
Each of my pieces are totally unique. No two pieces are ever exactly alike. I use only quality beads like handmade Lampwork beads, handmade polymer clay flowers, Swarovski crystals and natural gems like Agate, Turquoise, Amethyst and many more.
What are your inspirations?
I get my inspirations from everywhere.. Nature, paintings etc. Sometimes I am just doing dishes and a design just pops into my head.
How are you making a difference in your life?
I am always thriving to improve myself.. Reach the next level. No matter what I do.
What's something unusual about you that makes you “you”?
Hmmm…. I can't really think of anything unusual about myself. I guess I am just an average Joe. 🙂
What's the biggest struggle in running your jewelry business like a business?Â
I guess my biggest struggle is my time management. With two little kids who take most of my time, I have very little time to build my jewelry business the way I want to.
I am 35 year old mother of two. Live in a wee little Bavarian village. I am addicted to wire wrapping.
