Build a Robust Shopify Theme
Themes are great because they get you started, but eventually all these sites start looking the same. You have your own unique vision for your business, and a standard theme can’t possibly fulfill that for you.
Themes can be limiting on their own. Making a few slight changes can completely change the feel of your website!
Trust the Framework
You don’t need to overwhelm yourself with too many changes or they turn into “Franken-themes” – as Jonathan calls them. Make sure your changes are based on customer feedback or data.
Shopify gives you lots of ways to integrate apps in your website. But some of these apps have an impact on the visual part of your website and they take away from the user experience. So be careful not to change too much!
Prioritize the Visual Aspect
You’re selling jewelry, so remember to highlight pictures of your jewelry. The overall visual feel of your website and brand makes a huge impact. Jonathan suggests themes from Pixel Union, Troop Themes, and Out of the Sandbox.
