If you’re designing a new collection, you've gotta know about the Spring 2019 jewelry trends!
The overarching trend is the ’80s are back in full force, m’dear! It’s true, fashion is cyclical.
I’m so glad because this means I totally was on trend with my purple sparkle suit (shoulder pads included) at our live event.
But I wanted to get the trends from those with a pulse on the industry, so I sat down with some fashion friends to chat about their take on Spring 2019.

Plus, I talked with the dear Delia Folk from The Style That Binds Us podcast about her fashion month experience visiting fashion weeks in Paris, London, Milan, and NYC – of course.
One thing Delia noticed was the cohesiveness of trends across cities.
The trends are happening across the world – each city following similar trends.
Everything's a Statement
Big necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and even ear cuffs are amongst the biggest Spring 2019 jewelry trends! Make them as big as you like because Spring is all about making statements this year.
Mismatched Earrings
Button earrings are in, so you could do different colors or styles of buttons to be mismatched, but still a pair! Otherwise, you can design one statement earring and one subtle earring to capture this trend in your jewelry line.
Leafs, Shells & Feathers
Anything with a nod to nature is totally in for Spring 2019. There’s still a strong boho, wanderlust vibe carrying into 2019 so the handmade, imperfect look is still very much on-trend.
Hoops, baby, Hoops!
All kinds of hoops are trending for jewelry in the Spring. Get creative with your hoops, add some pearls, use different shapes, even front-facing hoops are totally on-trend.
Resurrection of the Choker
It's back, and more glamorous than ever! If you’re designing a choker for the Spring, include pearls, diamonds, and anything else you can think of to dress it up – a lot!
Coins, Medallions, & Link Chains
Metals are in for Spring, but not always as you’d expect. Chain-linked jewelry is so hot right now. From large link bracelets to the typical gold chains from the ’80s, it’s everywhere for Spring! Add in some coins or medallions for extra flair.
Brand Names & Logos
What better way to get brand exposure than by including your name on everything your customer wears? This is a huge jewelry trend for the Spring of 2019 – plus it’s not a bad way to earn some word-of-mouth and boost your marketing efforts.
Cuffs, Cuffs, Cuffs
Arm cuffs, ear cuffs, and cuff bracelets are all on-trend for the Spring! The bigger, the better.
Jewelry from Head to Toe
The rumours are true – Spring 2019 jewelry trends forecast a comeback for anklets and toe rings!
Fashion and jewelry trends are heavily influenced by what’s happening in our society.
For example, the Burberry trench coat was invented during WWII when there were lots of protests. So it makes sense that it’s showing up on the runway again because of all the protests happening in our culture right now.
With how we’re seeing women stand up for themselves, it’s not surprising women’s suiting is in again. This gives a nod to the ’80s when women really started entering the office workforce.
Social influences are bringing these trends back onto the runway, and we're here for it.
